A few years ago I had a major car accident that changed my life forever. Today I live with an above elbow amputation and a permanent disability to my right leg.

I do not have a formal qualification and I got kicked out of school in year 11.

At the time of my accident I had a home mortgage, 2 children and been married for 6 years.

I could not go back to my job and do it well due to my disability. It was a grim and hopeless case.

Starting Off As A Professional Speaker

While still in a wheelchair, I was asked to tell my story at a local community group and the turnout was triple the numbers they normally had at the community group.

I didn’t realize that there were so many people that are hungry for advice and to hear an inspiring story.

So with little preparation I told my car accident story the first time to a large crowd in Launceston, Tasmania to a standing ovation.

The buzz and thrill I got telling my story and giving advice was electrifying. I was addicted.

In the first year being a professional speaker I spoke in over 170 schools (Over 100,000 students) around Australia at a rate of just $590 per school plus travel.

I never thought I could ever become a professional speaker and I thought that I did not have the skills, expertise, knowledge or drive to make it happen. Yet there was something inside me that knew all along that there was something significant about my life.
